Betty Hicks

SHERWOOD - Elizabeth (Betty) Gale Hicks, 72, of Sherwood, died Tuesday, August 24, 2010, at Trinity Hospital in Minot.

She was born January 17, 1938 in Herrin, IL, to Polly Busler.  She married Denzel Hicks November 15, 1954, in Corinth, Mississippi.

Betty and her husband enjoyed antiquing very much and owned North Coast Antiques as a weekend hobby business for many years.  She also enjoyed needlepoint, reading, especially western themed books, and scary movies.  Betty was a member of the Methodist Church and the Order of Eastern Star.

Family:  husband, Denzel Hicks, Sherwood; children, Darice (Paul) Herigstad, Mohall, Bruce (Deb) Hicks, Bismarck, Becky (Steve) Thilmony, Mandan, and Polly (Brian) Bahm, Mandan; grandchildren, Nicole Turk, Daniel Osterberg, Valerie Davis-Haug, Karin Osterberg, Logan Osterberg, Zachary Herigstad, Kendra Herigstad, Beckett Herigstad, Grant Hicks, Brandon Hicks, Victoria Hicks, Adren Pierce, Blake Thilmony, Stephanie Burchinal, Brett Papka, and Keyera Papka; and great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Turk, Abby Turk, Tatum Osterberg, Genevieve Burchinal, Jayden Papka and Landan Papka; mother, Polly Busler, Eldorado, IL.

Betty was preceded in death by her younger sister, Mary Lou.

Funeral:  Friday, August 27, 2010, at 3:00 p.m., at the United Methodist Church in Sherwood
