Beverly Bowers
Feb. 11, 1936 – March 12, 2008 

SHERWOOD – Beverly Ann Bowers, 72, of Sherwood, ND, died Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at a Minot hospital.

She was born February 11, 1936 in Prosperity Township, Renville County, to Harold and Frances (Wenker) Ritter.  She was raised on the family farm and graduated from Sherwood High School in 1954.

She married Loren Bowers October 19, 1954 at St. James Catholic Church in Sherwood.  They lived in New Jersey and Georgia while Loren was in the service for two years.  They returned to North Dakota and lived in various cities where Loren managed lumber yards.

In 1970, they returned to the family farm near Sherwood and farmed until retirement in 1996.  They moved into Sherwood in 2003.  Beverly entered the Good Samaritan Society-Mohall in November of 2007.

Beverly was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Sherwood.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, yard work, playing bingo and crocheting.

Family:  husband of 53 years, Loren, Sherwood; children, Debbie (Evan) Lynch, Minot; Harold (Karen) Bowers and LeRoy Bowers, both of Sherwood; Linda (Randy) Reed, Sheridan, Wyo.; Karen (Douglas) Christopherson, Epping; Loren “Corkey” (Vicky) Bowers, Sidney, Mont.; and Tracy (Mark) Smith, Sherwood; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral:  Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, Sherwood

Burial:  Union Cemetery, Sherwood

Rosary:  Monday at 7 p.m. at the church
