Clyde R. Bahl

Clyde BahlMOHALL – Clyde R. Bahl, 89, of Mohall, died Thursday, March 27, 2008, at a Minot hospital.

He was born August 19, 1918 in Grover Township of Renville County, rural Sherwood, to August and Erma (Kohrman) Bahl.  He was raised on the family farm and graduated from the eighth grade attending Grover Township School.

Clyde married Lillian Iverson June 22, 1945 at Zion Lutheran Church in Minot.  They farmed for many years in Grover Township before moving to Mohall in 1989. He continued to work in the fields through this past falls harvest.

Clyde was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Mohall, and a former member of the Hamerly Lutheran Church prior to its closing.  He served as a bus driver for Mohall Public School for over twenty years.  He served as a director on various boards including, Grover Township, Mohall Credit Union, Hamerly Lutheran Church, Hurley Farmers Elevator and Farmers Union Oil.  He and Lillian enjoyed traveling. They traveled across the US throughout the years.

Family:  Wife of 62 years, Lillian; sons, Robert (Kerry), of Fargo, and their children, Tory (Kimberly), Tangee (Thain) and Tera; Curtis (Suz), of Mohall, and his children, Chad, Nicole (Scott) and Angela (Gary); Kent (Ali), rural Sherwood, and their children, Alexis, Shelbi and Mikaylee; and Michael (Sheryl), of Owatonna, MN, and their children, Clark and Grant; great-grandchildren, Madisen, Peyton, Casey, Alyvia, Quinn, Nicholas, Rylan and Reece; brother, Donald Bahl, St. Louis Park, MN; half-sisters, Karel (Walter) Johnson, Ray, ND; and Doreen (Clint) Erhart, Aberdeen, SD., and numerous nieces and nephews. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Doloris (Gates) Bahl.

Funeral:  Monday, March 31, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Mohall

Burial:  Hamerly Cemetery, rural Mohall

Family Service:  Sunday, March 30, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. at the church
