Evelyn Dew
December 2, 1925 – December 23, 2010

ANTLER - Evelyn Violet Dew, 85, Mohall, died Thursday, December 23, 2010, at the Good Samaritan Society Home in Mohall.

She was born on December 2, 1925, in Browns Valley, MN to George and Elva (Eighmy) Ashbaugh.  She married Matthew (Jack) Dew on September 5, 1948, in Fargo ND.  They moved to the Langdon area where they lived until 1958, and then they moved to Bottineau.  Jack passed away in 1975. She moved to Mohall in 1993 where she resided until her death.

She enjoyed playing her guitar and singing for others, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed giving guitar lessons to young people. Evelyn’s humor, her laughter, and her faith brightened the lives of anyone who knew her.

Family:  sons, Dan (Cheryl), Mohall; Mathew, Madison, WI; James (Marian), Horace; and daughter, Judy (Vergil) Kjerstad, Rapid City, SD; ten grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Matthew (Jack) Dew; George and Elva Ashbaugh; brothers, Everett (her twin) and Bobby Ashbaugh; sister, Bing Fossen; and daughter-in-law, Karla Dew.

Funeral:  Thursday, December 30, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., at Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church, rural Antler

Burial:  Omemee Cemetery, Omemee

Family Service:  Wednesday, 7:00 p.m. at Brose Funeral Home, Mohall
