Gloria KellerLANSFORD – Arlene Gloria Keller, 77, of Lansford, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, at a Minot hospital.

She was born Oct. 18, 1932 in Harlow, to Burton and Olga (Loken) Bennes.  As a young girl, she played the guitar and sang while her father played the violin.  The family moved to Brinsmade and Gloria graduated from Leeds High School in 1950.  She moved to Devils Lake and worked various jobs there.

Gloria and Clarence Keller were married July 14, 1956 in Great Falls, Mont..  They lived in Great Falls, Devils Lake and moved to Lansford in 1960.  She worked as a bartender in Lansford for many years.  Clarence died Aug. 23, 1982.

Gloria was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, Lansford, and the Altar Society.  Gloria loved playing pinochle, gardening, bird watching, trips to the casino and was an avid sports fan, especially the Los Angeles Dodgers.  She loved spending time with her family and her pets.

Family:  twin-sons, Darrel (Pam) Keller and Dale Keller, all of Lansford; daughters, Cindy (Myron) Mitzel, Natchitoches, La., and Joni (Dennis) Lee, Clearbrook, Minn.; four grandchildren and three step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild and eight step great-grandchildren; sister, Merle (Wally) Schmidt, Williston; brother, Rodney Bennes, Devils Lake; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Loretta Buchmeier, Jim and Jane Thompson and Laura McCarthy, all of Devils Lake, and Clarence “Speed” and Louise Morse, Fargo; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister-in-law, Sherry Bennes.

Funeral:  Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, at 10:30 a.m., at St. John’s Catholic Church, Lansford

Family Service:  Monday, Aug. 23, at 7 p.m., at the church

Burial:  St. John’s Cemetery, Lansford
