History of the funeral home. . .
In the early 1930s, Truman and Agnes Dahle
owned and operated a hardware store and Dahle
Funeral Home in Carpio, ND. In 1945, they moved the funeral home operation
to Mohall. Assisting Truman was their son, Thomas Dahle. They
retired in February 1969.
In 1969, Richard G. Anderson, a Glenburn native, purchased the funeral home
from the Dahle's. He changed the name to Anderson Mortuary. Richard,
and his wife Helene, served the families of Mohall and surrounding communities
until his retirement in 1996.
William C. Nelson operated the funeral home, Anderson-Nelson Funeral Home,
from 1996 until 2004. Bill is a native of Wallhalla and came from a
funeral services family. His father was a funeral director as well as two
of his brothers.
On November 12, 2004, Jeff Brose purchased the funeral home from Mr. Nelson.
The name has been kept the same because that's how everyone knows it.
Since purchasing the funeral home, a major redecorating project has been
underway. New carpet, furniture and fixtures are now in place. The
exterior of the funeral home now features a deck with a handicapped accessible
ramp. Advances in technology are being utilized to better serve the area
families. |
