Jeff Brose was born in Mankato, MN in 1966.  His dad was the head hockey coach at Mankato State University.  Following his mom's death, he lived with his grandparents in Hillsboro, ND.  He graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1984 and attended Mayville State University.  He graduated from Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in 1988 and returned to North Dakota where he started working at an area funeral home that same year.  In 2001, he worked at the Flower Box in Minot.  In November of 2004, Jeff purchased the funeral home from Bill Nelson.

Jeff married Niki Nygaard, a Des Lacs native, in 1996.  His wife is employed at the Flower Box in Minot.  Niki has the coveted AIFD designation, the first florist in North Dakota to receive this designation.  Jeff and his wife have three children; Cole, age 9; and Jorn, age 4.  Jeff and Niki's second child, Kellyn, died of SIDS in 2002 at the age of three months.

Jeff and his wife are members at Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot, where he served as president of the congregation in 1997 and 1998.  Jeff enjoys spending time with his family and watching old episodes of M*A*S*H and Dallas.  Although they are now retired, he is a huge fan of Harold, Phil, Jimmy and Don, The Statler Brothers.  Pictured below are our three boys.
