Kevin Thom
April 16, 1986 – March 16, 2008

Kevin Allen Thom, 21, of Minot and formerly of Glenburn, died Sunday, March 16, 2008, of injuries received in an automobile accident near Minot.

He was born April 16, 1986 in Minot to Robert “Dobie” and Lori (Allen) Thom.  He attended kindergarten through fourth grade in Burlington.  He attended school in Glenburn from grade five through his high school graduation in 2004.  He was active in many sports programs and student activities while in high school.

Kevin attended MSU-Bottineau for two years and was a member of the Lumberjacks basketball team.  He was currently attending Minot State University, majoring in business; he would have graduated this spring.  Kevin previously worked with his grandfather on the family farm near Kramer, for Greenberg Roofing and was presently working for Premier Pulses in Minot.

Kevin was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Glenburn.  He was a big sports fan and participant.  He was an avid Denver Broncos fan from a very early age.  Most of all, Kevin was an outdoorsman, hunter and fisherman.  He never let an opportunity to hunt or fish pass him by.  Kevin was talented at and enjoyed entertaining his family and friends with his many impersonations.  He will be greatly missed by his family and all who loved him.  He truly was our “Special K.”

Kevin’s loving and deeply saddened family include his parents, Dobie and Lori; sisters, Kylie and Kendra, all of Westhope; grandparents, Winston Allen, Mohall; Marv and Harriet Thom, Lake Metigoshe; aunts and uncles, Lisa and Tim Johansen, Beulah; Bill and Peg Thom, Grand Junction, CO; Kevin and Lyndi Thom, Dickinson; Kathy and Kenton Onstad, Parshall; Karen and Dr. Bill Berryman, Grand Junction; and numerous cousins.

Kevin was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lynette Allen.

Funeral:  Saturday, March 22, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at First Lutheran Church, Minot.

Burial:  Mohall Community Cemetery

Sharing of Memories Service:  Friday at 4:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Glenburn.
