Melvina Seibert
She was born February 2, 1915 on the family farm near Crary to Nels and Sadie (Nesseth) Rohr. She was raised and attended country grade school through 8th grade in Crary, and helped her parents on the farm. Melvina married Earl Seibert on September 15, 1938 in Devils Lake. They lived in numerous areas of Minnesota and North Dakota where Earl worked in law enforcement. She worked as a dietician at the Rolette Nursing Home and at various places in Mohall including the Mohall Café, Paragon Café, and manager of the Mohall American Legion Club. Earl died November 1, 1992. Melvina was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved baking and cooking, watching basketball, professional racing, old episodes of Walker Texas Ranger and giving her Bingo quarters to her great-grandchildren. Her home was “Home;” an open place for all to come and visit with love extended to all. She loved everybody and never had an unkind word. Family: children, Darwin Seibert, Nashville, TN; Clarene Vee, Williston; Nelda (Chuck) Hilyard, Toledo, OH; Sandra (Bob) Pease, Maxbass; 16 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Virgil Rohr, Naperville, IL; and Norvin Rohr, Billings, MT; and numerous nieces and nephews. Melvina was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister and five brothers; daughter-in-law, Annie Seibert; grandson, Terry Spencer; granddaughter, Monica Bridges; and great-granddaughter, Jodie Spencer. Funeral: Saturday, January 8, 2011, 1:00 p.m., at Zion Lutheran Church, Mohall Family Service: Friday, January 7, 2011, 7:00 p.m., at Brose Funeral Home, Mohall Burial: Sunday, 1:30 p.m., at Zion Cemetery, Crary, ND Visitation: Friday 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
