Allen Lee
Dissette
June 29, 1961 – April 26, 2026
MOHALL – Allen Lee Dissette departed this world on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the age of 64, at his home in Mohall.
He was born (or according to him, was found on a hay pile) on June 29, 1961, in Rugby, to Eugene and Maxine (Anklam) Dissette. He grew up on the family farm and nicknamed the cows after characters of Hee Haw and grew many flower gardens. During his childhood, he earned the proud nickname, Beak, due to his Dissette nose.
After graduating from Wolford High School, Allen furthered his education in carpentry at Lake Region State College where he was the proud mascot. His career path led him to construction, where he learned skills that created many memorable pieces including a curio cabinet for his mother.
It was his role as a mechanic at Farmer's Union in Mohall, where he truly made his mark. Known for his work ethic and expertise, especially when it came to changing tires. His tire talents came from taking out all the air in tires as a child on the farm.
In February 1983, Allen married Darcy Streich and they welcomed three daughters. He enjoyed taking his daughters to visit his parents where he always brought his prized CD collection.
Allen enjoyed spending time on his farm tinkering in his shop working on tractors. He enjoyed playing softball for many years in the Mohall league and ventured down to Mouse River Park for tournaments. He enjoyed organizing open gyms at Mohall High School and he played in local dart leagues for many years. Most of all he enjoyed his garden. With an abundance of potatoes each year, he gathered friends and family to partake in handpicking and sorting each fall. He loved being social, spending time with friends at the local bar, where he humorously claimed the title of the number one Busch Light drinker and following his grandkids’ sports games on TV.
Allen possessed a dry sense of humor that could lighten any room or make your eyes roll. His playful nature often manifested in friendly teasing of his grandchildren and children, creating memories that will be cherished forever. He was always there to provide Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups to his grandkids. Known for his orneriness, Allen famously resisted the advances of technology, never yielding to the pressure to own a cell phone or use the internet. Family: Surviving him are his daughters, Bobbie, Samantha (Gordon), and Rebecca; his grandchildren, Tristan, Keyandra, Darik, Kylan, Zyon, Breanna, and Ericka; and his precious great-granddaughter, Ka'Lani; Allen also leaves behind his cherished siblings, Brent (LeAnn), Brenda (Paul), Bonnie (Denny), Barry, and David, and his mother-in-law, Barbara Streich; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Allen was preceded in death by: His parents, Eugene and Maxine Dissette; and his father-in-law, Marvin Streich.
Celebration of Life: A celebration of life to honor Allen's life will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Cheers in Mohall. Friends may also sign the online guestbook at brosefuneralhome.com.
