IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Chauncey "Mick"
Huber
May 10, 2021
Chauncey "Mick" Huber, 79, Maxbass, was born the seventh son of the seventh son. He passed away May 10, 2021, after a long battle with lung cancer.
He was born to Chauncey "Chance" and Greeta Mae Huber in Westhope. He was raised on a farm near Maxbass.
He met Sarita, his wife of nearly 59 years, while roller skating in Antler. Early on, Mick worked for farmers and dug trenches for the oil pipeline. He became a service rig operator in North Dakota and then in Bakersfield, CA. They moved back to North Dakota where they purchased the 4-Corners gas station near Westhope. They retired in 2010. Mick said, "Owning the gas station was the best job he ever had."
He loved mowing grass, vintage cars, watching westerns, robins, Sonya's little dog, Mickey Bear, watching the animals that came in the yard, but most of all, his naptime.
