TOLLEY - David Martin Newgard, 59, Tolley, died Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Trinity Hospital.
He was born May 28, 1961, in Rugby, to Dennis and Marlene (Jensen) Newgard.  David graduated from Mohall High School in 1980.
David worked in the oil field industry out of high school, working for Bomac Drilling, Nabors Drilling, and Red Hawk Drilling and also drove truck in Nevada for Sierra Chemical.  He has also worked for Gates Manufacturing for a few years.
David was an avid Green Bay Packers fan; he loved to tell people "the Pack is Back" and loved cheering against the Vikings.  He loved music, especially the Grateful Dead and really enjoyed going to concerts in California or Nevada with family.  He loved Rock music and he had a very large vinyl record collection.  David was a huge fan of the Paul Harvey radio show, enjoyed playing the harmonica, and traveling to see family in Nevada and California.  David loved animals and had many special dogs in his life, especially his Basset hound, "Dennis."
Family: David is survived by his son, Dustin (Heidi) Newgard; and grandson, Huntley, all of Mohall; brothers, Mark (Reita) Newgard, Fernley, NV, D.J. (Sherri) Newgard, Jackson, CA; sister, Brenda (Francis) Hall, Mohall; sister-in-law, Anita Newgard, Bismarck; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
David was preceded in death by: his parents, Dennis and Marlene Newgard; brothers, Tim and Bruce Newgard; and beloved Basset hound, Dennis.
Celebration of Life: Friday, October 16, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a time of memories and condolences at 6:00 p.m., at the Mohall Community Center (Old Legion Club).  Please observe social distancing recommendations.
Graveside Service: Saturday, October 17, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., at the Mohall Community Cemetery.
