Della Delores Smith, 94, of Minot, passed away on November 23, 2020, at a Velva nursing home.
Della was born on February 28, 1926, to Clarence and Dorothy (Rosenthal) Roberts.  She was raised in rural Eckman on the family farm.
Della was married to Johnnie Smith, and together they raised Della's daughter, Lois Brekke.  Della and Johnnie resided in Rapid City, SD, for the majority of their lives together until Johnnie's passing on November 5, 2015.  In April of 2016, Della moved back to Minot to be closer to her family.  She resided in the Maple View Memory Care Center until the time of her death.
Della loved to dance, play cards, and travel around the United States with Johnnie, but what she loved most of all was spending time with her family and friends.  Della had a fire cracker of a personality and she never hesitated to tell someone exactly how she felt and how things were going to go.
Family: Della is survived by her siblings, Peggy Van Horn, Terence G. (Susan) Roberts, all of Minot, Sandra (Virgil) Gilseth, Kenmare, Betty Kalhagen, Devils Lake, James (Janet) Roberts Troy, KS, Joan Teigan, Wahoo, NE, and Bonnie (Larry) Job, Everest, KS; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Della was preceded in death by: husband, Johnnie Smith; daughter, Lois Brekke; parents, Clarence G. and Dorothy (Rosenthal) Roberts; sister, Clarice Rosenthal; brothers-in-law, Harold Rosenthal, Earl Vanhorn and Alfred Teigan
Burial: A private family celebration will be held at Riverside Cemetery, rural Eckman.
