MOHALL - Delores Estelle "Dee" Beckedahl, 83, Mohall, died Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at a Minot hospital, with her daughter, Karlene, by her side.
She was born October 25, 1937, in Philipsburg, MT, a daughter of Alex and Reona (Hurn) Berthoud. She attended schools in Philipsburg, Anaconda, MT, and Lewiston, ID, before graduating from high school in Auburn, WA.
Dee married Leonard Kissner in 1955. They had two daughters, Karlene and Candice; and a son, Tim. They divorced in 1972.
Dee met and married Richard "Rick" Beckedahl on July 26, 1974, after they moved to Mohall. She worked at the Good Samaritan Society nursing home in Mohall for several years. Rick died in 2001.
Dee was an avid crocheter and loved to make hats, scarfs, scrubbies, baby clothes and Barbie clothes for family and friends. She loved going to Sherwood to play Bingo with friends, playing Yahtzee and putting puzzles together.
Joys of her life were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her fur-babies, Bobbi and Lily, and spending time with her friends.
Family:
daughters, Karlene (Boyd) Abelseth, and Candice (Vance Brown) Smith, all of Gillette, WY; grandchildren, Christopher (Shea) Pemelton, Garrett Pemelton, Jessica (Eugene) Clark, Lindsey (Russell) Ruppert, Karisa Abelseth, Joshua Smith, and Chris, Casey and Rory Brown; great-grandchildren, Mikal, Sydney, Jaxon, Lilly, Carter, London and Everley.
Dee was preceded in death by:
her parents, Alex and Reona Berthoud; husband, Rick Beckedahl; son, Tim Kissner; brother, Veryl Berthoud; and sister, June Berthoud.
Funeral:
10:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at Zion Lutheran Church, Mohall. After the service, a link to a video of the service will be placed on her online obituary.
Burial:
Sherwood Union Cemetery, Sherwood.
Visitation:
2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday, October 18, 2021, at Brose Funeral Home, Mohall. Friends may also sign the online guestbook at brosefuneralhome.com.
