MOHALL – Donald Erling Erickson, 84, Mohall, died Friday, September 16, 2022, at a Mohall nursing home.
He was born February 5, 1938, in Fargo, to Erling and Florence (Moberg) Erickson.  Following graduation from Moorhead High School in 1956, he attended Concordia College in Moorhead, and Interstate Business College in Fargo.
Donald was united in marriage to Carol Southam on December 3, 1960.  In 1961, they moved to Chicago, IL.  He began working for the Cook County State's Attorney in a secretarial position.  Following his retirement from there, he was self-employed as a special courier, leasing his services to other companies.  This encouraged his love of traveling as he made deliveries to all four corners of the United States.
In 2006, he and Carol relocated to Mohall and enjoyed their retirement years.
Family: wife of 61 years, Carol Erickson, Mohall; daughter, Denise Erickson, Mount Angel, OR; son, Bob Erickson, Morris, IL; granddaughters, Carol (Rob) Tisdale and Sue Ann Lawrence; grandsons, Austin and Dakota Erickson; four great-granddaughters; sister, Lois Wilkes, Rochester, MN; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
| Donald was preceded in death by: his parents, Erling and Florence Erickson; brother, Gerald Erickson; and many aunts and uncles.
Funeral: 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 26, 2022, at Zion Lutheran Church, Mohall.
