Obituary

Gerald Roy "Jerry" Otto, 76, died Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at a Minot hospital.
He was born November 10, 1946, in Minot, to Eldon and Avis (Sandeen) Otto.  He attended Clay Center School and graduated from Mohall High School in 1964.
Following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army on February 14, 1965.  He was a paramedic, spending most of his enlistment in Germany.  He was honorably discharged January 26, 1969.
After his service to our country, he spent many years working in the oil fields in both North Dakota and Oklahoma.  He then began a long career as an over-the-road truck driver until his retirement due to health issues.
Jerry enjoyed watching sports and old westerns on TV, and spending time with his nieces and nephew.
Family: Jerry is survived by his sisters, Joan Otto and Jane Anseth; and sister-in-law, Barbara Otto, all of Mohall; nieces, Kristi (Mike) Scharnberg, Hartley, IA, and Terra Heinz, Moorhead, MN; nephew, Andrew Otto, Mohall; great-nephew, Payton Heinz, McGregor, MN; and great-niece, Maizy Heinz, Moorhead, MN.
Gerald was preceded in death by: his parents; sister, Ardith Otto; brother, James Otto; brother-in-law, Herbert Anseth; and nephew-in-law, Matt Heinz.
Visitation: Noon to 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Brose Funeral Home, Mohall.  Friends many also sign the online guestbook at brosefuneralhome.com.
Burial: North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan.
