Obituary

MOHALL - Jason Edward "Unkl" Albert, 49, Mohall, died Saturday, December 10, 2022, at his home.
He was born in Modesto, Ca, to Steven and Roxanne (Becker) Albert.  He moved to North Dakota with his mom Roxanne at age 10 where he had a lively childhood and teenage years. Jason had fond memories of staying with Grandma and Grandpa Gordon Becker.  His favorite memories were hanging out at Uncle Russel's where he learned about motorcycles, cars and having fun.  He gained lifelong friends while going to school in Towner and working in Grand Forks.
Everyone says Jason's voice enters the room before you see the sparkle in his eye! Loud and boisterous, his stories were always animated and alive.  His greatest gift is that he was a listener and could remember the details of conversations shared in confidence, making him a great bartender.  This made him the cherished of all his friends.  His life experiences gave him wisdom and depth he shared with those he loved.  Often this was expressed in a song by Clutch or one of his favorite musicians that he would sing his heart out to.
As a proud Abate member since 2010, Jason wrote articles and held bike runs and fundraising events for District 4 in Grand Forks and District 2 in Mohall. He was so proud of his motorcycle community and the family he created with his many brothers and sisters.  The stories and adventures he made at his annual bike rallies to Menoken, gave him stories to share and laugh about all year.  Jason was happiest riding.  Wind whipping through his long beard, grinning ear to ear.
Jason was a carpenter and roofer.  He could build anything with his hands and loved working with wood where he would paint his famous flames on his craftsmanship.  Jason made his mark roofing in Phoenix and Grand Forks.  There are few neighborhoods in Grand Forks where there isn't a roof done by him.  He was so proud of the roof he did at Ralph Engelstad Stadium.  He loved the sense of accomplishment that came with construction work, and he said much of his work will be standing when he is gone.
Jason said his greatest accomplishment was being a dad.  Born to Ronda Dietzler and Jason, Jaydrian, "J.J.," came into his life in 1995 and changed him forever.  J.J. was always with Jason through all the ups and downs and remained with him until his last breath.  He raised J.J. on his own until he met Jennifer in 2000 and became dad to Zachery and Samantha.  Jen and Jason raised their kids together for 16 years.  His pride and joy are the children who grew up to be his friends.  "Proud parent" of two marines (Zach and Sam) were tattooed on his arm.  He loved that he has matching skull tattoos with each of his kids.  Their bond with Jason is individual and strong.
Jason met the love of his life, Jacqueline, five years ago. They shared five years of passion and unconditional love while facing the challenges of ALS.  Their journey included making memories with family and friends while embracing each other as they faced the inevitable.  They had hope and strength together for a miracle.  Sadly, ALS has no cure.  Jason passed peacefully at home with Jacqueline, Jaydrian and Jessica by his side.
Family: He leaves his greatest memories with his children Jaydrian Albert (Jessica Marynik), Zachary and Savanna Lefebvre, Samantha Lefebvre (Gustavo Conchas) and his beloved Jacqueline Kelly Tisher, and loved by her children Victoria, Isaac and Tysen; father, Steven (Paula) Albert; brothers, Ryan Albert and John Paul (J.P.) Albert; and remembered and loved by his numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Jason was preceded in death by: his mother, Roxanne (Becker) Albert; aunt, Rita (Becker) Bethke Kitzman; uncle, Bradley Becker; maternal grandparents, Gordon and Dolores Becker, paternal grandparents, Bobbie and Eddie Albert;
Memorial Service: A celebration of Jason's life will be held Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 3:00 p.m., at The Naked Moose II, in Loraine. Videos and music to be shared at 4:20 p.m.  He would have been 50.
