MOHALL – Joann Delores Bruder, 71, Mohall, died Saturday, December 10, 2022, at a Mohall nursing home.
She was born on November 18, 1951, in Rugby, to Palmer and Iverne (Fragodt) Broe.  Joann was raised in the Sherwood area and graduated from Sherwood High School in 1969.  Joann was the oldest of three sisters and two brothers.
Joann attended Devils Lake College.  In 1970, Joann married Everett Blowers.  They had a daughter, Tammy.  Everett passed away in November of 1972.  Joann married James Bruder on February 8, 1975, at Zion Lutheran Church, Mohall.  The couple made their home in Mohall where they raised three children, Tammy, James "Jimmy" and Kelli.  Joann worked at Mohall Credit Union and in the office at Farmers Union Oil of Mohall.
She had a passion for working with numbers.  She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Mohall.  Joann was an avid reader and was very proud of her book collection.  She also enjoyed playing and collecting video games.  Joann was a wonderful mom, epitomizing all the good qualities of motherhood.  She was involved with her children's schools, sports and activities, and later attended as many of her grandchildren's activities as possible.  She also cherished spending time with friends.
Our family is comforted knowing Mom is reunited in heaven with Jimmy.  While dementia may have stolen most of her memories of her loved ones, we will keep her in our hearts forever.  Our family is thankful for the wonderful care she received at the Good Samaritan nursing home in Mohall.
Family: Joann is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, James Bruder, Mohall; daughters Tammy (Mike) Rouse, Minot, Kelli (Eric) Johnson, Kodak, TN; grandchildren, Jordan Kay, Layne Rouse, Emma Rouse, Tyson Johnson, Austin Johnson and Kamryn Johnson; sisters, Marilyn (Bruce) Gilseth, Mohall and Phoenix, and Carol Adermann, Fargo; brother, Paul Broe, Fargo; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
Joann was preceded in death by: her son, Jimmy; parents, Palmer and Iverne Broe; brother, Curt Broe; and first husband, Everett Blowers.
Funeral: 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Zion Lutheran Church, Mohall.
