Karen Elizabeth MacKinnon passed peacefully the morning of April 30, 2025, in a care facility in Sacramento, CA.
Karen was the daughter of Laurits and Laura Johansen of Mohall. She was born at St Joseph's hospital Minot, ND, on April 19, 1938.
She grew up in Mohall and was married to Tom Gilseth and together they had three children.  Karen was also later married to Oakley Elven and John MacKinnon.
She is survived by son, Jeffrey Gilseth, currently living in Mexico; granddaughter, Nicole Gilseth; granddaughter, Marissa Morris, of LaJolla, CA; and brother, Larry (Deb) Johansen, of Mohall; along with several nieces and nephews.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Julie Johansen; son, Michael Gilseth; and daughter, Lori (Gilseth) Lencioni.
Funeral mass at St Jerome Catholic Church, Mohall, ND, at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 11, 2025, with burial after the service, next to her parents, at the Mohall Community Cemetery.
