MOHALL - Kyle Lynn Stromswold, 41, Mohall, died Thursday, September 30, 2021, at his home.
He was born July 17, 1980, at the R.B.M. Hospital in Mohall, the youngest son of Mark and Kimberly (Wherley) Stromswold.  He was raised in Mohall and graduated from Mohall High School in 1999.
Kyle worked at several jobs over the years.  He started with the Napa Store in Mohall which his father owned.  After Napa closed, Kyle worked at the Mohall SuperValu and then Tracy's Market.  Kyle tried out the oil field for a short time, but that wasn't his thing.  Cenex was Kyle's last endeavor until June of 2017.  As his health deteriorated, he became unable to work.
Kyle enjoyed visiting with all the people he was in contact with throughout his life and was loyal to the community of Mohall.  He always had time for a quick chat.  His stubbornness never got in the way of his big heart.
Dealing blackjack at the Grano Bar and Mouse River Park bar filled some of his time in the evenings and weekends for a few springs and summers.  Kyle enjoyed his horses growing up, with his favorite being Festus.  He played on both pool and dart leagues for a period of time, always had time for a hand or two of pinochle, enjoyed singing karaoke and watching wildlife.  Kyle had a special place for his niece and nephew, Madison and Ashton.
Family: mother, Kim (Ray) Preston, Surrey; brother, Shay (Heidi) Stromswold, Minot; niece, Madison Stromswold; nephew, Ashton Stromswold; stepmother, Sonja Stromswold, Mohall; aunts and uncles, Blaine Wherley, Minot, Colette Kraft, Minot, Maryanne Wherley, Velva, Shirley Middleton, Roseburg, OR, Janet Ward, Byhalia, MS, Diane (Dan) Witteman, Mohall, Loren (Jeanie) Stromswold, Mohall; step-grandmother, Judy Duerre, Mohall; and many cousins.
Kyle was preceded in death by: his father, Mark Stromswold; uncles, Harlan Wherley and Omund Stromswold; grandparents, Dallas and Betty (Williams) Wherley, Wesley and Ellen (Skordahl) Stromswold and Anna (Johnson) Stromswold.
Funeral: 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 7, 2021, at Zion Lutheran Church, Mohall.  A link to a video of the service will be placed on his online obituary after the service.
