Linda Siebert, 72, Kenmare, died Saturday, March 6, 2021, at the Kenmare hospital.
She was born May 3, 1948, in Kenmare, to John and Ella (Davidson) Fuchs. The family lived in the Sherwood area until 1962 when they moved to Tolley. She attended Sherwood Schools until 1962, and graduated from Tolley High School in 1966. During her high school years, she assisted her parents with the family farm and at the Tolley Café. She graduated from the Minot Business College in 1968.
Linda married Donald Siebert on December 29, 1968, at Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tolley. They celebrated 52 years together. She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Grafton in 1971.
After their marriage, they lived in Rugby, Grafton, Bowbells and Minot. In Minot, she was self-employed as a daycare provider and worked for the North Dakota Persons with Disabilities until 1985. She became employed by Trinity Health. While at Trinity, she obtained her LPN license in 1997. She retired in 2011 after 26 years. After the Minot flood of 2011, they moved to Kenmare.
Linda was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot. She enjoyed time with the Kenmare Senior Citizens and served as the secretary for six years. She participated in square dancing as a member of the Magic Squares and the Dakota Ramblers. She and Don were officers of those groups at various times. They also served in various offices of the North Dakota Square Dancers and the International Square Dance Convention. She enjoyed square dancing for 33 years.
Linda and Don enjoyed the past six winters at Fiesta Grande in Casa Grande, AZ. No matter where she was, she enjoyed making new friends. She enjoyed playing all card and board games, especially pinochle, fast track, and many others.
Family:
husband of 52 years, Don Siebert, Kenmare; sons, Paul (LeAnn) Siebert, Minot, and Jason (Lisa Pogatshnik) Siebert, Leeds; grandchildren, Joatta Siebert, Alex (Ariane) Vigested, Emily, Vona and Abigail Pogatshnik, Katrina and Faith Siebert; Linda's best friend, Cindy Nieland, Kenmare.
Linda was preceded in death by:
her parents, John and Ella Fuchs; sister, Louise "Snookie" Stark; and father- and mother-in-law, Lester and Dagney Siebert.
Funeral:
11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 13, 2021, at Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot. The church requires masks to be worn.
Burial:
McKinney Cemetery, rural Tolley.
Visitation:
1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 12, 2021, at Brose Funeral Home, Mohall. Friends may also sign the online guestbook at brosefuneralhome.com
