BANTRY - Peggy Lynn (Werle) Byrd, 64, Mohall, formerly of the Upham area, died Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at a Mohall nursing home.
She was born August 26, 1956, in Seattle, WA, to Dora Drader and Julius Whiteford.  Dora Drader married Edward Werle in 1964 and they moved to Upham.  Peggy attended school in Towner and Upham through the tenth grade.  She lived with family in Spokane, WA, and later returned to North Dakota.  She worked at the Towner Nursery.
Peggy met Arin Byrd.  They lived in several areas including Bremerton, WA, Denver, CO, Helena, MT, and Fairbanks, AK.  Peggy worked as a dishwasher, waitress, security guard and a gold prospector.
Peggy was a free spirit and loved people.  She enjoyed dancing, singing, visiting, playing cards and was always upbeat.  Peggy never met a stranger and will be missed by all who knew her.
Family: brother, Curt Werle, Upham; and many nieces and nephews.
Peggy was preceded in death by: an infant son; parents; brothers, Bradley, Larry and Reuben; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Graveside Service: 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at the Bantry Union Cemetery, Bantry.  Friends may sign the guestbook at brosefuneralhome.com.
