Ronald Dean Wellner, 78, Mohall, formerly of Minot, died Thursday, October 1, 2020, at a Mohall nursing home.
He was born August 27, 1942, in Sanborn, MN, to Adolph and Lu Verna (Radtke) Wellner. He grew up on the family farmstead with his three brothers, Fred, Jerry and Roger, and little sister, Sandra. Ronald served as a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force from April 1964 until April of 1968.
Ronald worked as a transmission mechanic at Westlie Motors for 26 years before retiring.
Ronald's hobbies included riding horses, deer hunting, helping out at the Hocksprung Ranch in Ruso, reading westerns and plinking (target shooting with his family).
Family:
daughters, Twyann Johnson, Minot, Lea Wellner, Minot; grandchildren, Luista Jack, Sebastian Johnson, Alyssa Johnson, all of Minot; several great-grandchildren; brother, Roger (Char) Wellner, of AZ; sister, Sandra (Rueben) Perez, Albert Lea, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ronald was preceded in death by:
his parents, Adolph and Lu Verna Wellner; and brothers, Frederick and Jerold Wellner.
At his request, there will be no service. Following Ronald's wishes, they will scatter his cremated remains.
