SHERWOOD - Shari Lenore Fry, 58, Bottineau, formerly of Sherwood, died Saturday, February 22, 2020, at a Minot hospital.
She was born July 27, 1961, in Mohall, a daughter of Leroy and Jean (Southam) Nelson.  She was raised on the family farm near Sherwood and graduated from Sherwood High School in 1979.  She attended three years at U.N.D. and one year at N.D.S.U. where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in dietetics.
She raised her three daughters in Yuma, AZ, and worked at a hospital in Yuma.  They recently returned to North Dakota, the land where her heart always was.
Shari and Dennis loved traveling, camping, going on day-trips, and being a grandma.  She was very proud of her family.  She was a voracious reader, enjoyed her quiet time, junk and antiques shopping and spending time with her best friend, Dennis.
Family: husband, Dennis Fry, Bottineau; daughters, Sara (Albert) Diaz, Yuma, AZ, Amanda (Lance) Jones, Miami, FL, Leah (Jacob) Lockwood, Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Kai Alexander Jones, and one on the way, Eydie Lenore Lockwood; mother, Jean Nelson, Sherwood; siblings, Marcia (David) Peterson, Antler, Gregory Nelson, Sherwood, Kevin (Toni) Nelson, Bottineau, Barb Nelson-Schach, Minot; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Shari was preceded in death by: her father, Leroy Nelson; brother, Jody Nelson; cousins, Craig Keith, Blaine Southam and Bonnie Snyder; maternal grandparents, Estelle and George Southam; and paternal grandparents, Alvin and Helen Nelson.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 28, 2020, at St. James Catholic Church, Sherwood.
Burial: Sherwood Union Cemetery, Sherwood, in the spring.
Recitation of the Rosary: 3:30 p.m., Thursday, February 27, 2020, at the church.
Visitation: noon to 3:30 p.m., Thursday, at St. James Catholic Church, Sherwood.
