LANSFORD - Tamara Marie (Gunning) Zumbaum, 51, Lansford, passed away after a brief illness on August 6, 2023, at a Minot hospital.
Tamara was born August 31, 1971, to Clark and Joan (Talley) Gunning, in Minot.  She was raised and educated in Lansford.  She was a member of the final graduating class of Lansford High School in 1990 before the high school permanently closed.
Tamara was married to Matthew Schlag from 1991 through 1993.  Their son, Bryant Matthew, was born in 1991.  Bryant and his wife Kelsey blessed Tamara with twin granddaughters, Lily and Sadie.  In 2008, Tamara had another son, Cole Christian.
Tamara married the love of her life, Robert Zumbaum, in September of 2015, which extended her family with Robert's child, Bobby, and loving him as her own.  The three children and two grandchildren provided Tamara with immense joy and fulfillment.  One of her greatest enjoyments was watching her children and grandchildren grow.  Most of her favorite activities were taking the kids to various activities and ensuring they knew she was their biggest fan.
Tamara's working life was filled with variety and hard work.  She most often could be found providing service to others, from child care to cleaning.  Along that path, she made numerous friends with her colleagues.  She enjoyed cleaning houses and was a close friend to many of the people she cleaned for.
Family:  Tamara is survived by her husband Robert Zumbaum, Lansford; sons, Bryant (Kelsey) Schlag, Minot, Cole Schlag and Bobby Zumbaum, both of Lansford; granddaughters, Lily and Sadie Schlag; mother, Joan Meyer, Lansford; brothers, John (Denise) Gunning, Lansford, and Adam Meyer, Billings, MT; sisters, Amanda (Kris Cummings) Towne, Butte, MT,  and Teresa Scott, Las Vegas, NV; mother-in-law, Cindy Zumbaum, Minot; brother-in-law, James Zumbaum, Minot; sister-in-law, Amanda (Matt) Spoonemore, Minot; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Tamara was preceded in death by:  Her father, Clark A. Gunning; stepfather, Bob Meyer; and father-in-law, Richard Zumbaum.  She was also greeted by her grandparents and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral:  10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Trinity United Church, Lansford.
Burial:  Lansford Cemetery, Lansford.
Sharing of Memories Service:  6:00 p.m., Friday, August 11, 2023, at the church.
Visitation:  4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday, at the church.  Friends may also sign the online guestbook at brosefuneralhome.com.
